International Women’s Day - Ellie Patterson

BPIF Cartons is proud to celebrate diversity and women in the packaging industry! This month we are recognising the contributions made by women across our industry in honour of International Womens Day. 

Meet Ellie Patterson, Head of Sales, Convenience, EMEA, Graphic Packaging International based in UK.

Ellie has over 25 years’ experience in the packaging sector, working across multiple formats and disciplines including retail, project launch management, graphic services and sales. Ellie joined Graphic Packaging International is 2014 and leads a team of nine direct reports and a sales and retail team of twenty-one, she is responsible for maintaining direct relationships with key strategic customers and ensuring sales are protected in a highly volatile, changing business.  

Ellie’s professional interests are in seeking new markets and products that enable growth within the packaging sector together with a firm understanding of the technicalities of product and operations enabling her to drive for continual improvement.

Ellie is also the Co-President of the Women at GPI Business Resource group and has a keen interest in driving diversity, equity and inclusion across all touchpoints of her working life. Being able to join the Executive Committee of BPIF cartons has given Ellie a platform with the team to drive change, create further opportunities and development for a more diverse workplace in the future and is truly honoured to be part of this team.

Outside of work Ellie lives Derbyshire with her Husband Kurt, Stepson Harley and Dog, Jasper. She enjoys walking, socialising with friends, mainly at home as cooking is her ultimate passion, together with a spot of wine tasting!
