2023 WINNER OF THE PRO CARTON YOUNG DESIGNER AWARD FOR THE UK

We are pleased to have presented the 2023 winner of the Pro Carton Young Designers Award for the UK with her Apple iPad, Certificate and Trophy at our BPIF Cartons Summer Event and Awards.

The Pro Carton Young Designers Award allows students from schools, colleges, and universities from all over Europe to put their design skills to the ultimate test by creating the most innovative cartonboard packaging concepts. In addition to the main competition one winner for the UK is chosen by the judges with the UK winner receiving an iPad provided by BPIF Cartons. Entries are submitted in three categories: Food & Drink, All Other, and Sustainability.

At the BPIF Cartons Summer Event and Awards, we presented Rose Lwin, from Ravensbourne University with her award.  Congratulations to

Rose is the genius behind ‘UrbanBite’, which is a sustainably aware and dynamic carton packaging for confectioneries, that encourages consumer interaction. The design features a slide-to-open closure mechanism for control when dispensing aimed to replace resealable plastic containers. Her design is crafted from a single piece of A4 paper carton board, it can be customised for specific products, allowing one piece to be dispensed at a time.

We are delighted to sponsor this leading annual young talent competition for packaging design. Focusing exclusively on cartonboard, the award promotes sustainable packaging and innovation among students.
