Building on Success - The Future's Greener!
BPIF Cartons release the venue and dates for the 2008 Carton Conference
Whittlebury Hall, near Silverstone, on 7/8th April 2008
The 2008 Carton Conference is targeted at the industry itself - printers & carton converters, material & equipment suppliers, and allied service organisations.
"The event in 2006 was so successful that the Trade wanted another one" says John Monks, President of BPIF Cartons, and judging by the reaction he's right.
The delegate feedback in 2006 showed impressive results and 98% of delegates reported that they had found it a relevant, informative, stimulating and thought provoking conference and definitely one very worth attending.
'It doesn't get much better than that' Monks added, 'primarily because for the very first time many carton converters realised that by meeting, discussing and sharing issues they emerged much more enlighten, better informed and stimulated to tackle the way ahead. Anybody can justify the 'too busy' claim, but the really progressive converters see the huge benefit of taking a short amount of time out to meet, listen, talk and consider strategy. Knowing the issues that impact on businesses and markets - and learning more of what others are doing - are critical and you don't find out by staying in the office'.
The 2008 Conference will promote the benefits of cartons and cartonboard by reminding delegates of the progress the industry has made since 2006, and explore how the industry can respond to the favourable environmental factors driving specifiers to greater use of cartons, as well as providing excellent networking opportunities and leisure activities.
Themed "Carton Confident" the 2008 event will be focussed on 4 principle topics - Service & Value; Customer Expectations (Environment); Technology; Opportunities. Different speakers will present various aspects of these areas - and rest assured they will know what they are talking about !.
The event is supported by Pro Carton with media partners, Folding Carton Industry, Print Week, Packaging News, Printing World. Sponsorship take-up has already exceeded previous levels with Gold Sponsors, KBA, Bobst, Heidelberg and Sun Chemicals and 6 Silver Level Sponsors Metal FX, MAN Roland, IST (UK) Ltd, Arden Dies, WH Leary and BHS.
John Monks concluded 'if your business is Carton Confident - then reserve the date of 7th & 8th April at Whittlebury Hall, Towcester, Northants, now. Go to www.thecartonconference.co.uk for more information and regular updates.
