Alexir maintains their BRC Grade AA Accreditation

Alexir maintains their BRC Grade AA Accreditation

For two consecutive years Alexir Packaging, the carton-converting division of the Alexir Partnership, has maintained their AA grade BRC (British Retail Consortium) accreditation. Additionally, Alexir Co-Packers, the contract packing division of the Alexir Partnership, has also retained their BRC AA grade since 2016. Therefore, both Alexir sites are able to offer all their customers, and potential customers, the necessary reassurances in respect to food packaging and packing.

The BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials certification is viewed as a benchmark of quality, safety and legality. Maintaining these standards show that both Alexir Packaging and Alexir Co-Packing continue to demonstrate that they are compliant with the latest issues including food safety, management systems, manufacturing and quality management practices.

This year Alexir Packaging were audited against a more rigorous standard as changes have been made to the BRC issues geared towards product defence. Product defence guidelines ensure the safety of raw materials and products from malicious contamination or theft. Alexir Packaging effectively passed all BRC issues and put measures in place to ensure product defence. Thus, they successfully maintained their AA grade.

The Alexir Partnership is committed to constantly meeting and exceeding benchmarks of quality, safety and legality. During these unprecedented times the Alexir Partnership is even more dedicated to following all guidelines, exceeding those recommended by the government relating to hygiene, social distancing and employee safety.

The Alexir Partnership remains open and is working hard to meet customer demand.
