PLASTIC PACKAGING TAX (PPT) UPDATE As announced at Spring Budget, the PPT rate will be increased from £200 per tonne to £210.82 per tonne in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 1 April 2023. This change will maintain the real term value of the price incentive to use recycled plastic and supports the government’s environmental goals. ENERGY REDUCTION ROUNDTABLE No one can have failed to notice the impact of rising energy prices over the last year. The ongoing international tensions mean that these higher prices show no sign of dropping anytime soon. On the 6 April the BPIF and Inenco are co-hosting a digital workshop. This is the third in a series of digital workshops looking at mitigating energy costs, optimising consumption, and cutting carbon for BPIF members across the UK. |
